Book Review: The Respect Dare by Nina RoesnerPosted: December 24, 2012
Respect means esteem for or a sense of the worth or excellence of a person. How many of us have dared to show respect and give our husbands a sense of worth on a daily basis? That is what this dare is all about. What a conundrum for the women’s lib ladies of today’s society. So many ladies are so focused on demanding their place that they waste their energy and time on focusing on the “me monster” instead of giving of themselves and reaping the benefits of that kind of sowing. Nina Roesner, executive director of Greater Impact Ministries, Inc. has more than twenty years of experience in training and coaching. I find that I can relate to her in many ways as I am sure many other women will as well. She walks you through taking the steps to getting to know yourself with every day ending with a “What about you?” section full of questions that are relevant and able to be completed in around 20 minutes. She includes fun and interesting stories to make her point and relevant scriptures to cling to as you move forward in this respect walk. The subtitle really says it all: 40 Days to a Deeper Connection with God and Your Husband. After reading it through, you will want to do it again. After all, practice makes perfect!
